The position will involve exploring large-scale social media datasets to understand how people behave during major life transitions; devising novel methodologies to automatically target support for people during such transitions; exploring how this can be offered in a privacy-centric fashion. The role is part of AP4L project (https://ap4l.github.io/), alongside the Universities of Surrey, Cambridge, Strathclyde, and Edinburgh.
Candidates should have experience in Social Computing, Data Science, Machine Learning and/or NLP, as well as good/excellent general programming skills and technical writing skills.
