Possible applications include the development of new data analysis techniques for cryo-EM, super resolution microscopy or the analysis of cell formation and  evolution.
Finishing a habilitation or the willingness to work toward it is very welcome.
Reduced teaching duties for an equivalent of 2 hours of classes a week during the semester involve support for the newly developed lecture cycle "Statistical foundations of data science" and the co-organization of seminars.  Good English language skills are important, German language skills are useful but not required.
