The laboratory of Machine Learning and Perception (MLP) is offering a one-year Research Fellow position -renewable for 1+ additional year(s)- to design, develop and evaluate deep learning-based solutions for autonomous monitoring of environmental factors.

Requirements:
We are looking for a highly-motivated, independent, and skilled researcher with a Ph.D. degree and related experience in computer vision, deep learning, artificial intelligence, and/or computer science/engineering with a solid background in design and evaluation of novel methods.
A background and track record of peer-reviewed conference/journal publications in machine vision/machine learning is compulsory. Experience with designing, managing, and executing experiments is a mandatory requirement. Relevant knowledge and at least 3 years of experience in developing visual-based solutions with Python are mandatory. As the Research Fellow will be working in an interdisciplinary team in international cooperation with universities, research organizations, and companies, we expect a pro-active and collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills both in presentations and writing.
Conditions of employment:
We offer a full-time scientific position for a total period of 1 year.

The lab has a large range of platforms and camera networks available as well as GPU clusters for deep learning.
