3 years Postdoc Position

Dr Adélaïde Raguin

Institute for Computational Cell Biology

Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany

I am seeking to hire a postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in stochastic simulations and the programming language C++, to be part of the project:

Impact of drought on the secondary cell wall of poplar xylem, a multi-disciplinary approach

The project is on the interface of computational physics and quantitative biology to model plant cell wall molecular synthesis and water transport properties. During the postdoctoral project, you will be developing tailored computational approaches based on advanced stochastic simulations in C++, possibly complemented by Molecular Dynamics or Mechanobiology. While you will develop your research in my group, you will also collaborate with experimentalist partners at the Research Center of Jülich, and be part of the interdisciplinary Cluster of Excellence on Plant Sciences (CEPLAS), that funds the position. As a CEPLAS postdoc, you will benefit from unique training, networking, and career development opportunities.
