Two Research Master positions in Data Science at QLA

Quantum Leap Africa (QLA) is proud to offer an exciting opportunity for aspiring Master's students in the field of Data Science. We are currently accepting applications for two research positions, which will be supervised by Dr. Issa Karambal and Dr. Assionvi Hove Kouevi and based at AIMS Rwanda. This program is designed for individuals with a passion for deep learning, numerical analysis, optimization, and inverse problems, who want to make a meaningful contribution to the field.

About the Position

The research positions are designed for a 12-month period beginning July 1, 2022. During this time, students will be tasked with investigating inverse problems and partial differential equations (PDEs) using the Physics Informed Neural Networks approach. This project will provide students with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects and gain valuable experience in the field of Data Science.

Available Level of Study

This opportunity is open to Master's students in mathematical sciences who have a strong interest in deep learning, numerical analysis, optimization, and inverse problems. Candidates should have good coding skills in Python, especially Tensorflow, and excellent communication skills in English.

Financial support will be provided to cover the costs associated with the research project.

  • Hold a Master's degree in mathematical sciences or a related field.
  • Be a national of an African country (preferred).
