The University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa is now accepting applications from anyone in Africa who wishes to pursue a research- or coursework-based Master's degree in the School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. The degrees will start in January 2023 and have a research focus on machine learning.
About the Degree Programs
The University of the Witwatersrand is offering four exciting Master's degree programs in the field of computer science and applied mathematics:
- MSc by coursework and research report in Artificial Intelligence
- MSc by coursework and research report in Robotics
- MSc by coursework and research report in Computer Science
- MSc by research dissertation in Computer Science
The programs include cutting-edge courses and will prepare students for careers in machine learning.

Eligibility
Candidates with strong backgrounds in mathematics, statistics, optimization, and programming are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applicants from groups across the African continent that are underrepresented in the global machine learning landscape.
