Over the past decade, Pure Mathematics at UKZN's Westville Campus have slowly become an 'endangered species' and is now on the verge of 'near extinction'. In order to revive the situation, we have recently advertised for two posts in Pure Mathematics at the level of Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer. We are primarily looking to hiring at a level of Senior Lecturer and above who will be able to attract students and drive the discipline forward. However exceptionally bright and promising young academics are also highly encouraged to apply.
