The Department of Computer Science (DCC) at the University of Chile is inviting applications for two full-time permanent positions of Assistant Professors. The aim of these tenure-track positions is to offer individuals an opportunity to develop a strong and competitive research program in the field of computer science.
About the position
The positions offered at DCC are Assistant Professors in tenure-track positions, where the successful candidates will be expected to carry out research and teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. These positions are based in Santiago, Chile and the application deadline is March 1st, 2023.

Available levels of study
The Department of Computer Science (DCC) offers teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels with around 600 undergraduate, 80 MSc and 40 PhD students majoring in Computer Science.

Financial support will be provided to successful candidates in the form of a competitive salary and research funds.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science (DCC), candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree and must have demonstrated excellence in research and scholarship within the field of interest. Additionally, the candidate should be pursuing internationally recognized research in the following areas:
- Theoretical Computer Science
- Artificial Intelligence
- Software Engineering
- Computer Security and Privacy
- Networking
